Is All Of Your Jewlery Real?
At SPRKL, we take great pride in offering high-quality pieces crafted from authentic materials. All of our jewelry is made using genuine 925 sterling silver and authentic moissanite stones, ensuring that our customers receive the utmost quality and value with every purchase.
We believe that our customers deserve nothing less than authentic and high-quality pieces, which is why we never sell any gold-plated brass jewelry. While brass jewelry may be less expensive, it can cause skin irritation and is not as durable as other materials. Therefore, we only use materials that are safe, reliable, and of the highest quality, so our customers can enjoy their jewelry for years to come.

We strive to provide our customers with the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding the availability of our products. To determine which item variants are currently in stock and which are made to order, please refer to the specific product description for the item you are interested in. Our product descriptions contain comprehensive information about each item, including its availability status and any relevant lead times for made-to-order items. By consulting the product description, you can make an informed decision about which item variant is right for you and ensure that your order is fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner.
Can Moissanite Pass a Diamond Tester?
Yes, a Moissanite will pass most* diamond tester pens. Moissanite is a naturally occurring mineral that is composed of silicon carbide. It has a unique crystal structure and optical properties that are similar to those of a diamond. Because of these similarities, moissanite can pass a diamond tester.
Diamond testers work by measuring the electrical conductivity of a material. Diamonds are excellent electrical conductors, whereas most other materials are not. However, moissanite has a similar electrical conductivity to diamonds, which can cause a diamond tester to register a moissanite stone as a diamond.
What Even Is Moissanite?
Moissanite is a naturally occurring mineral that was first discovered by French chemist Henri Moissan in 1893 at a meteorite crash site. It is composed of silicon carbide and has a unique crystal structure and optical properties that make it a popular gemstone for use in jewelry.
Moissanite has a high refractive index and dispersion, which means that it reflects light differently than diamonds and other gemstones. It is also very hard and durable, scoring a 9.25 on the Mohs scale of hardness, which is second only to diamonds. Because of its brilliance, durability, and affordability, moissanite has become a popular alternative to diamonds in engagement rings and other fine jewelry.
While moissanite occurs naturally, the vast majority of moissanite used in jewelry today is created in a laboratory setting. Lab-created moissanite is environmentally friendly, affordable, and possesses the same optical and physical properties as natural moissanite.

Can I Wear My Jewelry In The Shower or Pool?
It is generally not recommended to wear jewelry in the shower or a pool because exposure to water and chemicals can cause damage to the jewelry and potentially even harm the wearer. Here are some reasons why:
- Water and soap can cause a buildup of residue: When soap and water are mixed together, they can create a residue that can build up on jewelry, especially in hard-to-reach areas like prongs and settings. This buildup can make jewelry appear dull and dirty over time.
- Chlorine is not good for your jewelry.
- Loss or damage due to slipping or snagging: Water and soap can make jewelry slippery, increasing the likelihood that it could slip off and become lost. Additionally, jewelry can snag on clothing, hair, or other objects in the water, potentially causing damage or loss.
Overall, it is best to remove jewelry before engaging in activities that involve water, including showering, swimming, or bathing. This can help to prolong the life of the jewelry and ensure that it remains in good condition for years to come.
